I am glad the Sudoku craze is all but over. Not so long ago you couldn't board a bus or train without seeing passengers buried in their puzzles, their expressions a strange mixture of straining to think and public superiority. Some of them thought it made them better at mathematics but that's not what Sudoku is about. The numbers are just a convenience. To prove the point I made one with pictures:
